Education Partnership Institute Minnesota will bring together youth and families, local stakeholders, and national leaders in the fields of public health, violence prevention, trauma, and mental health. Our intent is to provide a safe space for authentic conversations, problem-solving, and courageous conversations about the social and emotional health issues affecting students, teachers, school resource officers, and families in Minnesota.
Nearly a quarter of Minnesota school-aged youth struggle with mental health issues, according to the latest Minnesota Student Survey. Mental health issues not only affect Minnesota students, but the educators, school staff, and families who care for and support them.

ABOUT EPI-MN
Research shows social emotional health is foundational to success in educational settings, yet nearly a quarter of Minnesota school-aged youth struggle with mental health issues, according to the latest Minnesota Student Survey (October 17, 2019). Mental health issues not only affect Minnesota students, but the educators, school staff, and families who care for and support them.
EPI-MN is a training event, designed to bring together essential stakeholders in
PreK - 12 public education to build skills across disciplines in better understanding the current state of social-emotional of students and staff, as well as affiliated colleagues. Our intent is to provide a safe space for authentic conversations, problem-solving, and courageous conversations about the social and emotional health issues affecting students, teachers, school resource officers, and families in Minnesota.
EPI-MN will feature in-depth sessions and presentations from national and local experts in trauma, education policy, teaching strategies, student and community engagement with cohort specific content for: teachers and administrators, school board members, school safety professionals, students, parents and community members, and elected officials and policymakers.
